1. What Do You Do at Intouch365?
A lot! Even though I have only been here for a few months, I am already fully integrated into the team and client operations. For instance, I am working on a project for Eneco and modernizing the data architecture for Vogelbescherming. We also work with Microsoft Fabric, Microsoft’s unified analytics platform. I had little experience with Fabric during my studies, making it exciting to master it on the job. Additionally, I built an interactive demo environment for pitch presentations to show prospective clients how to unlock the full power of data and AI.
I am also pushing myself well beyond my core technical domain into strategic consultancy. I participate directly in client workshops and strategy sessions, helping design tailored roadmaps. Immersing myself in active client discussions and translating business needs into technical solutions has been one of my steepest and most rewarding learning curves yet.
2. Why Did You Choose Intouch365?
An interesting story: Marijn (the founder) and I actually connected previously when I was still a student looking for a side job, though that proved too time-intensive alongside my coursework. However, Intouch365 left a lasting impression on me especially its young, dynamic atmosphere. After graduating, I submitted an open application and was invited for an interview within a week.
Looking back at how much I have accomplished in just a few months and how many facets of the business I have experienced, the learning curve is incredible. The culture is exceptionally ambitious. Because we operate as a tight-knit, agile team, there is immense room for growth, and I can directly leverage my technical background to expand our collective expertise.
The office location is ideal as well just a five-minute cycle from home, perfectly positioned within my network in Breda, and situated in a hub full of innovative startups that creates an inspiring entrepreneurial vibe.
3. When Did You First Encounter Data and AI?
During my Bachelor’s in Industrial Engineering and Management at Avans University, where I was drawn to the analytical coursework like statistics and basic predictive pricing. At that stage, data was primarily focused on optimizing manufacturing processes. It was later during my Master’s in Data Science that I truly immersed myself in AI technologies, including machine learning and deep learning.
I also learned how to clean, structure, and transform raw data into actionable insights for marketing teams, a skill set I apply every day at Intouch365.
4. How Do You See the Future of Data & AI?
For me, technology is evolving rapidly. While it is difficult to predict the exact extent of future automation, this evolution represents a major efficiency boost across many sectors. Much of routine administration, document processing, and basic programming can now easily be handled by AI.
Finding the information you need used to be time-consuming. Today, you can set up complete solutions yourself in just a few clicks, saving a significant amount of time.
However, I do not believe that AI makes human expertise redundant. You will always need your own domain knowledge to truly understand context and bring prompts to life; without that insight, you cannot add real value.
