We all know those days when you roll from one Microsoft Teams meeting to another, barely leaving time for a cup of coffee or a moment to reflect on the discussion you just finished. Amid that fast-paced flow, it is easy to overlook how unique certain situations actually are. Living nearly 100 kilometers from the Intouch365 office in Breda, I often interact with my colleagues on screen far more than in person.
Fortunately, there are moments when my colleague Milan van Maaren and I sit side by side, sharing a single laptop during our weekly session with the Microsoft Customer Insights FastTrack team. During these syncs with team members based in Prague and Hyderabad, India, we address product and architecture challenges encountered by our clients. The FastTrack team provides practical guidance and tips, serves as an escalation path when standard Microsoft support stalls, and acts as a direct link to the product development team.
During the meeting I wanted to share, Milan and I, alongside key representatives from our client Campari, spent over an hour and a half with two members of Microsoft’s product development team based in Switzerland and the UK. These are the professionals who shape the Dynamics product roadmap, define product strategy, and guide the software engineers building the platform. In this high-level session, we discussed several product enhancement proposals for Customer Insights-Data that we had developed with Campari, exploring their value in depth and presenting our ideas and feedback.
Fortunately, this time we did have time for a cup of coffee after the Teams call. I turned to Milan and said, “We need to realize how special this is. As a relatively new Microsoft partner from the Netherlands, we just had ninety minutes of direct access with Microsoft’s global product development leadership.” Milan shared the enthusiasm, but asked, “Doesn’t every partner get that level of attention?” Having been active in the Microsoft partner ecosystem for over twenty years, I could answer with complete conviction: absolutely not.
